Water & Ecology Information

A private water treatment contractor treats both lakes periodically during the season for weed growth and algae suppression. Bacteria counts are taken weekly at the beaches. Two abnormal consecutive high counts will close the beach. A treatment schedule, chemicals used and lake lowering for dock repairs are posted at each beach and a notice will appear in the ELPOA Courier.
